GLOOM · Nidhogg
Privacy Policy
Effective September 5, 2026
Scope
This policy explains how Nidhogg handles information when providing Discord server security, automated moderation, and incident evidence preservation. By using the app, you acknowledge this processing.
Information handled
Nidhogg may process Discord server, channel, role, member, message, attachment, moderation, and configuration data needed to detect abuse, act on incidents, and create reviewable evidence. It also receives routine technical data required by Discord and the hosting service to deliver, protect, and diagnose the app.
How information is used
Information is used only to provide requested features, enforce server safety rules, maintain service reliability, prevent abuse, investigate failures, and comply with applicable obligations. It is not sold or used for third-party advertising.
Retention
Incident evidence is preserved indefinitely by default to protect its integrity and audit value. Configuration and operational records are kept while needed to provide and secure the service.
Sharing and access
Information may be available to authorized server managers, affected Discord users where the product exposes a record, Discord, and infrastructure providers that process it on our behalf. It may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect users, the service, or others.
Security
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used, including access controls and integrity checks where appropriate. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
Server owners can remove the app and manage content created in their servers. Requests to access, correct, or delete personal data are reviewed against identity, server authority, legal obligations, Discord requirements, and—especially for Nidhogg—legitimate security and evidence-integrity needs.
